Description

Clutch set, complete Luk 623 3047 00. The clutch assembly includes a pressure plate made of cast iron, which is attached to the clutch disc. The main parameters are determined by the shape and characteristics of the diaphragm spring, which presses the clutch disc against the flywheel. The clutch disc ensures smooth gear engagement and comfortable starts. It consists of two friction plates shaped like a ring, riveted to a metal base. Replacement of the clutch set may be necessary in the following cases:

Wear of the clutch disc (slipping clutch and the vehicle does not accelerate at sufficiently high engine RPM);
Wear of the pressure plate (difficulty engaging and disengaging gears, difficulty starting from a stop);
Wear of the release bearing (unusual noise).

Do not delay the replacement of clutch parts, as failure of at least one of these components can lead to complete vehicle stoppage. Depending on driving style, the clutch set may last as follows:

Moderate (quiet) up to 200,000 km;
Normal (average) up to 110-120,000 km, depending on the manufacturer;
Aggressive driving style may cause damage to even high-quality parts before the declared term.
