- Seal Condition (Caps): For any cap, check the rubber seal. Is it pliable, or is it cracked, hardened, or missing? A good seal is non-negotiable.
- Overall Integrity: Look for significant warping, deep gouges, or large cracks that could compromise the part's function or appearance.
- Correct Part Number/Fitment: Double-check that the part is specifically for your vehicle's make, model, year, and engine. A quick search of the OEM part number can save a lot of headaches.
