BOSCH 3-pin and BOSCH 3-pin revitalization of the piezo stack in Siemens injectors is performed using a current signal with a specific profile. This innovation, developed in laboratory conditions, addresses short circuits between the micro-layers of the piezoelectric stack, which occur during injector operation. This leads to reduced injection doses and increased response delay.
Revitalization removes short circuits between layers, restoring the stack to a length similar to that of a functional injector. If the injector has no mechanical damage, revitalization will likely improve its performance. The shaping process of the piezo stack is conducted on the Carbon Zapp CRU2R device for Common Rail injectors from Siemens VDO Continental. This process also yields positive results for new and used injectors that have been inactive for a long time, restoring their working capacity.
